Unable to Delete Instrument Track

I am very confused as to how to remove an Instrument track on one of my projects. When I long press on the instrument in question and the menu box pops up that has the delete button in it, the recording button is always active, and the delete button is not clickable. Note that it is not the only instrument on the project either. Any ideas how to get around this?

    Hello SWIM,

    The sequencer lets you delete sequencer tracks, not the instrument itself.
    To remove an instrument, bring the studio pop-up, and hold the instrument thumbnail for one second: a confirmation pop-up will appear.
