Intua: MIDI request BM2

edited February 2013 in Support
hi intua,

beatmaker has become an excellent sequencer and controller for hw and software, in my opinion the best.

i am using it to control all sort of synths but mapping of the sampler keyboard is somewhat limited.

can you please consider including a custom midi instruments where user can select how many knobs are needed and name them aswell. this would make bm even more useful and definitely broaden the user base.

also having custom user scales would be a great plus.

thanks and have a great summer,

I need to bump this up to get any sort of feedback from intua positive or negative.

Scales in the piano roll especially. Also yeah I've been having a lot of fun mapping beatmaker controls to hardware synths and doing crazy automations. But knobs are a little slim.

    let me resurrect this thread.

intua, can we please get some feedback on the bm2 midi roadmap?
is there any plan on supporting sysex?

    - scales are pretty much a must so please chime in guys to bump this feature.
    - "midi instrument" for controlling external synths and modules. right now sampler works ok but has limited mapping capabillities. it would be really great if the additional knobs, faders were possible.

again - i find the bm2 sequencer best i have used. i would just like to use the most out of it.

    cheers

I requested this too. Bm2 is the leading sequencer for controlling other apps - but please more customisation! I want to build my own virtual synth templates! That'd be soo cool..!

    that is good to hear.

yeah it would be simply amazing to have more customization and i doubt it is that much of problem implementing it. not to mention how cool sysex would be.

scales on the other hand are pretty much a standard and there is no excuse not having them.

the sad part is that these posts apparently get completely ignored by intua.
like i said - if positive or negative - couldn´t the moderators just acknowledge the requests.
as much as i love bm2, this is starting to make me angry.

Hi everyone, sorry for replying so late! With the amount of feature requests we get, it is sometime hard to keep up!

We will definitely be adding an fully customizable MIDI controller with a bunch of controllers (faders, knobs, toggles, etc.). With the ability to control external app this will be a great addition.

Let keep this thread up for every MIDI-related questions/feature requests.

    Thanks !
    Cheers,
    Mathieu.

    ...and just like that i am love <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

    thanks mathieu, that sounds outstanding.

i have a whole rack of synths waiting to be controlled by bm2.
the sequencer is the best i have ever used as far as groove goes and your quantising method is simply brilliant.

having custom control would be just a dream come true.
most of my analog synths respond to sysex - is there any hope this would be supported aswell.(this is very difficult, i know, but have to ask)

also - i would really feel better if there was an opportunity to pay for some upcoming features.
maybe the custom midi controller can be an in app purchase. some users might be angry but most would probably be happy to support intua team. i know i´d pay good money for sysex;)

most of all - thanks for responding to the feature request threads.

and just to keep the suggestions going - i think most users would be very happy with scales and chord memory (one note chords)

have a great day and my best regards to the intua team aswell.

i know its all about audiobus right now but i´d just like to keep the midi side of things relevant aswell. its probably very convoluted area which needs alot of thought so if users have any input that would probably help.

it would be fantastic to have some info if this is in development or just on the roadmap.

    cheers
