Thanks for the update! I haven't been able to fully exit the program with the iPad 3 hand gestures or find an exit button on the program. When I do attempt to use the 5 finger hand gesture the app does close but continues to run in the background.
Going to post here as well;, tho I'm on an iPad 2, I'm getting the same thing. Close out using either typical home button exit or 5 finger swipe, the title bar now appears in red and says "Beatmaker 2 (Recording)" since the update.
Try exiting with the home button then double tapping the home button and hold on to the beatmaker 2 icon until a red icon appears on it and touch the red icon which would remove the process.
I was stuck and frustrated with the app running in the background, I love the app but there should be a button on screen allowing to exit the app, not just hitting the home button. What I did was go to "settings, and went to the beat maker app and turned off "running in the background" off"
Just a note that if you turn off 'run in the background' then audio app tracks won't behave correctly because BM2 will shut down when you switch the focus to the audio app.
Jaredka, sorry but you are wrong . I have bm selected as not running in background as it sucks up resource when not needed, my apps and tracks from them work just fine when switching.
Sorry that the op is struggling, I have no trouble with the four finger vertical swipe to exit the program.

Don't be alarmed- the red bar means that bm2 is using audio resources- its a good thing!

i found ios is very trouble, android is more handy
however, andorid no good app ,such as beatmaker2.
