    Note to BM dev's: THAANK YOUU!! <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

I love this app. and am thoroughly enjoying uploading my own beats and playing with them on the iPod Touch.

Best $20 I've spent this year (except perhaps some med's for my insomnia).

hallo, I'm new. Waiting for my iPhone to come, than buying BM. I'd like to find in it, the chance to record sound, direct or with efx. Even while the beat is on.
And a microtonal function, ready to manipulate notes and intervals, in whatever number to need.
would it be possible ? thanks

I have been writting and recording electronic music for 14 years now seen DAW's come and go always moving on even had the old atari st midi timming on that was superb. Anyhoo beatmeaker OMG the best theing on a mobile phone since it could make a call <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: --> .

As you can imagine i have a huge collection of samples and have constructed some killer kits but cannot for the life of me upload them to my iphone another issue i will look in to.

It reminds me of Kontact and a MPC which is superb could do with a vitual instrument and maybe a low bypass fiter for some cutoff and res on loops etc....

    Just some things i have running round my head but killer app <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D --> <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D --> <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D --> <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

Are there any thoughts of making an AU plug-in version... so we could make ideas on the iphone then transfer the session into logic or other program to finish the idea into a full production?

I´ve also recently become a member and am still dazzled with amazement.....the possibilities are endless...thanks a lot to the makers of such an app. I'm talking about it with other musicians and composers and am even planning to use beatmaker in one of my performances, which is totally new for me. how come there's no solo tracks where u could just hear the beat only????????http://www.intua.net/intua/forums/posting.php?mode=reply&f=5&t=3#
  • edited 2:16AM
Go to the Pads window then in the middle left hand menu choose---> Modes ---> Mute wich is the right middle button
and mute out all the samples but the beat samples.

You can also play with the FX to isolate the beat and silence the rest.

This has got to be one of the greatest apps on iphone / touch. I believe it would be a great idea to add more sounds banks for more options and creativity. It would also be a great idea to be able to organize samples and kits into folders as well using a drag and drop feature and using arrows to scroll up and down the lists WITHIN BeatMaker. Thanks for creating this app Intua, you've really outdone yourselves.

    First of all...

    THANK YOU.

Great product. I really feel that if BeatMaker can include a keyboard (along with multi-sample and/or simple synth capabilities) to write melodies/chord changes and a way to actually export the entire session for professional mixdown in logic or protools, then it will be the end all program for music production. I'm already impressed, but waiting for the day that Intua includes some of the remarkable editing capabilities of Xewton (I purchased both). Xewton is great for song sketching but the sounds are amature. BeatMaker's ability to import samples and work in 44.1k make it far superior for actually composing something that can make it to the final mix. Thanks again, Intua, and please give me a keyboard to write chord changes/melody with!

oops, sorry if this should have been placed in the "future updates" section.
  • First off, I just want to say thanks for such a great application dog, especially for the price tag! I'm gonna get some hits out of this, seriously. I would greatly recommend a step sequencer with a note range dynamic (so that you can change the pitch and/or note of a sound). that and some more effects would be sick too (like re-verb and chorus), unless I just haven't found 'em yet! Bottom line is y'all ain't playing and I can respect that... so in the first song I make I will give you guys a shot out ya dig!

    Hello
I run a music recording and production studio in
Norway, I am a performing musician as well and I have a lot of solo shows
as a pianoentertainer. I recently bought the Beatmaker and I think its
awsome, the best drum machine only with absolutely no controls for
playing it live!!! As you probably know every musician making advanced
beats using their own samples they already have a pc, laptop so without
the live option your beat maker is incomplete and just another gadget
    wasting space in my iphone.
I need another page that allows me to play patterns, for example 3
patterns and a fill in, doing it in the seqencer page is not practical
as a drum machine, only as a song building option. That page should have
also a quick control for changing projects and tempo (and big buttons).
Please send this forward to whoever is in charge of developing this
program and make it the best drum machine ever!!!!
    Thank you.

I'm tired of seeing posters admonished regarding the proper or improper place for a question. The tone here is a drag. Answer the man. Don't chastise him.

  • Hello and thanks for a great product.

I became somewhat intimate with beatmaker2 several months ago and then stopped using. Wish i would have thought of this sooner, but for giggles i just tried to see how well the Beatsurfing app plays with Beatmaker. The setup was simpler than with any other ios app i have previously tried. i was also using multiple tracks and was making wonk beats in [no time] < (no pun intended <!-- s;-) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";-)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;-) --> i was controlling Modrum as well in the background.

Thanks to MIDI learn and CC support in BM2...with these two apps alone, i finally found a fun way for my taste to use the ipad live without a computer. I have a professional DAW ect...but i been trying to brainstorm a minimalistic setup for busking purposes for some time now. I can't wait =-D

And with audiobus coming soon...it just goes without saying. i'm so glad to be back and it feels good to know which apps are worth practicing now that i been around the ios block. No more distractions! Finally some sense of direction. Nice. Now back to the manual.
