    FR: I want a percentage slider in the quantize menu so we can tighten our beats without hard quantizing it.

    What controller are you using? The akai MPD32 works great over here with no additional programming already.

    Ah I've just seen they work for my new controller! (MPK25) Apologies. I was using something else before and I couldn't custom map them to the button's that's all... I shall shut up now. Can not wait for this update and lovely sidechain fun.

    Really like the update,the eq is a very welcome addition and the ability to zoom vertically is awesome!Not to mention the direct access to the instruments from the Sequencer window.

    Seems to run stable on my two ipads as well.

    But i don't like what you have done with the mixer.Cutting the faders to half of their length for the 4 sends (that i don't need but thats another story...)seems not a very smart solution.At least the master volume and the Fx bus fader should get their old length back,you are just wasting space here...Maybe an additional mixer page would be better?

    The oddest thing about the sends is that they are pre-fader... that's pretty much a show-stopper... "what were they thinking?"...

    I would be really excited about the update, but I've arranged all my songs for live play on the drum machine pads and assigned pads to fx sends. My songs now don't have the fx in them and I can't figure out how to get them to work. For instance I have a baseline sample assigned to fx1 with bit crusher and distortion and now it does not use the fx at all no matter what I am tweaking on the new fx sends. Is there a simple way to get my fx I had assigned and leveled and all that back on my projects? This is really frustrating to have to retweak all this.

    I can't even retweak it to work. Have we lost the ability to assign fx per pad on one track? I have 10 songs I put together that are now all messed up. Should I try to roll back from a backup to previous version?

I just posted in support, so forgive my temporary whining here. I joined up on the forums because its my number one app and has got me back into making music on the ipad. Always glad to see feature requests put out in updates, but have always been scared an update will wreck what I have spent hours and hours working on. Still want to give this app the chance to stay number one.

    Feel free to move these posts to support if this is the wrong section.

    Okay the update brought some things, but lets talk...

    Now in the mixer we have crippled some stuff without the knowledge of doing do perhaps?
    The volume slider is now even smaller than it was before...which was already bad...now its aweful...

    I have a fix if you listen to suggestions other than the ones that kiss your asses...

    The volume slider for track should be as close to 60mm to 100mm as possible
    Big chunky graphics are to blame here...
    But as an idea the bus knobs could perhaps be placed down the side of the volume slider
    The meter could be placed betweeen those and the slider
    And the pan knob box is huge....some of that could be stolen

    Why is this a big deal...well 100mm is an industry standard in music, it gives the user more precision during the mixing of volumes with each other...and yall keep killing this...

    This is why I KEEP INSISTING, this doesnt have a real techie hiphop producer head behind it...no way.

    The new eq is a good start...but it is not the type of eq that was expected...why do we keep using gui's for the effects that are wrong for the job though? Seriously...a parametric eq like pro q is far superior to what we keep getting on apps... Pro q is far more touch happy than this thi withnlittle knobs and no visual feedback...just sayin. This isnt the eighties...this is a touchscreen

    First I'd like to say thanks to Intua for this update. It includes a lot of requested features. I really enjoy working with BM2.

    That said, I have to agree with the criticisms of the mixer UI on the iPad. A track's send knobs should really be vertically to the side of the volume fader, like on the iPhone UI. The volume faders are just too short.

    The EQ6 UI would indeed be a little easier/nicer to use with a Pro-Q like UI. As it is, it's useable, but I think a graphical representation of the frequency edits like in Pro-Q would be more user friendly. Multitrack DAW has a parametric EQ that does this, for reference.

    The FX bus bug with pre-2.4 projects is unfortunate and I hope there's a bugfix update that can be made.

    There's also a thread in the support forum that takes issue with the sends not being post-fader. It's a legitimate concern, and hopefully it's addressed as well.

    I think it would be a good idea for Intua to include some kind of changelog window when new releases are first launched. People very rarely bother to read the App Store changelogs, and updates that alter major features have caused confusion in the past. The update that turned off background audio by default comes to mind.

    Including the manual PDF with the app would help, too. It's very detailed and well written, yet many BM2 users aren't aware of its existence.

    Loving the EQ, (though I wish it would open with everything bypassed), and the whole app feels quicker... And it's nice to be able to record stereo tracks...
    I don't do any final mixing in BM2 so the shortened faders are not a biggy for me.. I set and forget. That's why the pre fader sends are not deal breaker for me...
    Oh yeah- and it would be nice to at least have an option for the sends to be post fader. If I ever want to do dub in BM2...
