I drag the wav file on my computer that I want to transfer, into the server area and the files seem to transfer. I then go back to the iPad and see no wav files in the my content folder. Help with this is greatly appreciated! Thx!

I've got the exact same problem... Beatmaker hangs on the Database update. My first frustration with the program, mainly because I stupidly deleted the app, and now that I need to dump in my kits again I can't seem to do it!
This is an iOS 6-related bug and we fixed it in the upcoming 2.4 update.
We are about to submit it to Apple so it shouldn't take long before you can work with FTP transfers again.
In the meantime, you can use Dropbox to transfer files.
