Does BeatMaker support OMAC?

MidiBridge was updated to support OMAC Application switch via MIDI controls see here.

I don't know, if OMAC is a default feature of iOS or some third party feature, that's why I ask.

I imagine some live situation, in which one track in BM controls automatedly, when which synth/or BM is active for inputs and further control. Would kick-ass I think.

    I was searching for an function like this a long time (just found a forum in which some developers spoke about that this could(!) be realised in the future)...

    it seems that Beatmaker doesn't fully support OMAC (there is no " * " behind it's name).

    Are we "forced" to use for that feature "MIDIBridge"? Honestly I don't like to run an other app more...     Right now, the answer is yes, but the OMAC standard is open and documented and there is nothing stopping anyone adding the MIDI binding functionality (ie. what the MidiBridge App Selector module does) to their own apps or writing an app that does just that on its own.

    However, one app must be running all the time that can intercept the MIDI commands from equipment/apps and convert to the OMAC switching commands (also MIDI) for this concept to work. In MidiBridge's defence it is very modest CPU and memory wise and once you have it setup it just stays in the background and can be useful for other things, especially if you're interconnecting 4 apps and using the simultaneously. <!-- s;-) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";-)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;-) -->

    It's early days and hopefully some other apps will at least implement the basic MIDI switching feature (and get the '*'). OMAC provides a free open-source class and implementation guide for developers and not a lot of effort is required to deploy it.

    It would be nice if there would be a demo version of MIDIBridge, because for the money I really like to be sure how it's working in practice (in terms of economic, using 4 apps simultaneously - and of course switching apps).

    Agreed, but developers are not allowed to put in apps that have 'demo/trial' in them and I decided early on that MidiBridge was never going to have In-app purchases (I personally despise them) so the price you pay gives you all of MidiBridge.

    Ultimately if you're not satisfied with MidiBridge (or any app) it is possible to get a refund through iTunes.
