Question about RAM usage and disk streaming on BM2

edited December 2012 in Support
Hello,

I use an iPhone 4 and I enjoy BM2 very much, but I have quite a big problem when it comes to RAM usage.

See, if I wish to use many of the instruments in my projects, pretty quickly the amount of RAM used exceeds the maximum. Some instruments are more than 10MBs big and some more than 20MBs and this eats up just too much of the quota. I know I can raise the maximum RAM allowed to higher, but I also wish to keep running other software in parallel. I set it to 64MB of RAM but 3-4 of the "heavier" instruments will just fill them up, and then I can't add more instruments.

So my question is, is there a way to add instruments to a project and stream their voices directly from disk, the way it can be done with regular sample files of audio tracks? Is there any workaround to keep RAM usage to sane levels?

If not, could it be added to the feature wishlist for the next versions? <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

Thank you very much in advance!
