Compressed files

Can BM also use compressed files like MP3 or M4A in the sequencer instead of WAV only?
I'm running out of disc space for my projects..

    There is no daw that I know of that mixes compressed
    files. Either the software tells you it is converting the file to wav,
    or it does it automatically.
