I have a suggestion

edited January 2013 in Support
During a studio session yesterday, we decided to try some things out using only fabfilter plug ins...why those? Well because they are all available as ios vst plugs for auria...so we rendered a bunch of stems from beatmaker2... And shot them over and applied such effects as proQ, pro g, volcano, saturn, micro, and timeless...the result...WOW! Too bad there is no way for intua to incorporate the vst ios standard set by auria into the beatmaker2 app? As this makes all the difference in the world...period. Even if yall could just do that...

And add resample to pad...omg

Somebody at intua needs to talk to somebody at wavemachinelabs...and somebody at fabfilter...and make this so. IAP OF COURSE

BM2>Audiobus>Auria would be just as good to me... and I think it's on the way.

BM2>Audiobus>Auria would be just as good to me... and I think it's on the way.

It is on the way, and let me just say that when Auria adds audiobus, (BM2 is already on the way), that anyone with less than an iPad 4 will be s**t out of luck running just those two apps with any serious processing. For most of us, micgee$ method will be the standard workflow for a while, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Ios vst...the method i want...its gonna be too cpu intensive to audio bus between those two apps imho...maybe by ipad 10 lmao

I've been doing this too with -fantastic- results. I've also gotten into Samplr lately, so my workflow has partially been creating in BM2, scoot into Auria for EQ and compression, then drop into Samplr for performance fun.

    Samplr is dope!

I didn't imply anything was wrong with McGee$ idea. Was simply saying that there might be a way to get there before a full on implementation in bm2. I'll wait for the apps to be released before making any statements about whether they will or won't work. You could be right. Or perhaps the folks over at WML can come up w/ an implementation that will work with bm2 running as well.

Samplr is super addictive. Have been trying to get my arms around it for the past couple of days. Awesome app. It stresses my ipad a little already in an audiobus workflow. I can only imagine how bm2 will be, but who knows, maybe there is some magic that can get them running smoothly together. Love Auria too much to give up on that dream just yet.

Boone51- we are all on the same page I think.
I also own Auria, and with audiobus we are starting to see the cracks in the power of the iPad. As anyone familiar with daw's will confirm, if we didn't start seeing overloads with the current hardware I would seriously question what's going on under the hood of some of these apps. Dither is a HUGE issue that no one has even addressed yet... Auria doesn't use it and that concerns me. iOS dev's need to learn what daw's in pro use have shown us for 20+ years.. We are not reinventing the wheel here.
That being said, I was saying there is nothing wrong with shuffling audio back and forth, and the past has also shown us that the truly creative among us will do whatever it takes to create innovative music with what we have available right now.
If anyone out there is "waiting" for the all in one solution, have fun. We'll be making tunes with what we have, and we'll find new ways to use what we have.

I will however stay with the hope that apple and devs get it together on the lightweight touchsurface ipad !

And no, I dont know for certain if Auria and BM2 will run at the same time along with audiobus...but I most certainly do NOT see it happening on the ipad2! I am simply basing this off of apps and the cpu loads i have been experiencing thus far.

One key with using Auria so far has been the track freeze function...makes all the difference.

I will be going to the ipad4 soon though, and will report back what differenceit makes.
