I don't understand why you guys haven't made Beatmaker on iPad just a little more native looking, to appear less a stretched iPhone App! Respect where its due, beatmaker is a great app, but just a few little tweaks on the iPad version wouldn't go a miss after the price paid! In this ps mockup you can see how much better it looks just for removing the chunky scrollbars and relocating the bottom buttons! Why do we need scrollbars when you can just hit "navigate" and freely pan the canvas!? They are just an eye sore and a waste of screen real estate, and when they are removed look what can be achieved with not much effort...

Take a leaf out the Cubasis book <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->

    I wonder how difficult it would be to program the gui to look like that. It looks really clean without the redundant scroll bar.

    I think the sample edit window would still need to have a scroll bar though...

    Honestly, I would put ALL the controls down, just like the iPhone app.

    It's very annoying having to reach your hand over the sensible touch screen every time you click play, pause, menu, etc.

    Also i love how in Cubasis the media window, pads, piano etc pops up from the bottom and floats over where ever you are in the ui! Can this be achieved in beat maker? Its also very good for when you have an external midi keyboard and want to input notes directly on the sample edit window!

    I think Beatmaker needs to take the route of toggles! Different ui elements/bars that show/hide via toggle buttons!

    This is where we give a nod to iMPC for the amazing use of screen space.

    The impc lacks any features...of course its got a clean layout...it doesnt do much lmao...sorry but true...

    I have to say other than the turntable sample feature...its so not good at all

    Yeah, it doesn't do much, but it does feel nice to me. I am weary of the floating "device" window in BM2 I guess. Plus I like transport buttons at the bottom. Just me.

    Have you noticed this...
    When i play the on screen pads to bm2 no misses ever
    When i do the same on impc it misses quite alot actually

    I wonder what thats about?

    As for missing notes. I think that may have to do with the latency. If your finger drumming fast. I have also noticed that with midi controllers iMac is less responsive iMac gets about 10 ms longer latency than bm2 also. I did an article on round trip latency between bm2 iMpc and supreme map on a nexus 7 on fluxwithit.com
