Pads pitch control

Changing the sample pitch on BM2 drum pads, using the pitch control also changes its length accordingly. Is that usually the behavior when it comes to DAW pads mapping (I have no prior experience <!-- s:oops: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_redface.gif" alt=":oops:" title="Embarrassed" /><!-- s:oops: --> )?
It would have been nice to have an independent time-stretch/pitch-change control for pads.
Does that make sense?

    Yes, this is normal behaviour, because the pitch just determines, in which speed the sample is playbacked

    If you want to time stretch or pitchshift without changin the length, you must edit the sample data itself.
