export bm2 track to ableton

edited April 2013 in Support
I’m trying to export my completed beatmaker 2 track to Ableton for mixing. I was wondering if any body uses beatmaker 2 with Ableton for mixing your track. I have exported the mid file from beatmaker 2 to the Ableton midi clip but I don’t get any audio when I play it. I’m fairly new to Ableton so I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong on the Ableton end or if the beatmaker midi file can even be played on Ableton. The clips show in Ableton but there is no audio. Any help would be appreciated.

I think you may be confusing midi and audio-
A quick and easy way (how I do it to mix externally) is just go to the sequencer, hit export button on bottom right.
    Choose audio file
Choose seperate tracks, and aiff if you are on a Mac
    Hit export
Choose where you want to save the files. It will ask you to name the new folder that the files will be placed in
It will export the files. Now transfer to your Pc whichever way you prefer.
Open ableton, make sure the tempo is the same as your bm2 files, and import.
