Weird behavior in midi with IAA

I've been using BM2 for some time now and everything works great. The only problem I'm facing is when I try controlling other apps with MIDI. With some apps when I add the empty keyboard and play notes on the virtual keyboard I get sound but if I sequence the notes or record them I get no sound when I play the track. Other apps work just fine. Is there anything I'm doing wrong or is there something wrong with those apps?

Ensure the controller keyboard is properly setup to send MIDI data on the appropriate MIDI channel. Check the small "MIDI" button next to the instrument thumbnail in the studio pop-up. Channel 1 is set for output by default, which is fine, but it's a good idea to double-check.
Then, check if the app is listed and active as a MIDI output device:
- Open the studio pop-up, press the gear icon
- Press "MIDI SETUP" from the panel
- Check the "OUTPUTS" section, the name of the app should be listed and set to "ON" by default
