Automatically set samples to the right base note

Maybe I'm missing something and this is already possible? I would really like one or more of the following options:

  • based on the key that was pressed when recording from IAA or AU (and then its just a few steps to a full MainStage style Auto sampler, but that's really a bigger feature)
  • based on the base note that is stored in a wave file (this one should really work, right?)
  • automatically detected
  • found in filename

If there was the ability to import EXS or SFZ sampler instruments that would be even better of course, but thats probably a lot of work and maybe not where you want to go.
