mb - noisemaker (Noise.io & BM)

edited December 2008 in BeatMakers Showcase
This is the first track I've tried using sounds from noise.io sequenced in beatmaker. The only additional editing was to crop the samples and normalize the volume. Its also the first full track I've done in the new sequencer, some of the new feature such as bar length, add/remove bar and zoom make it a whole lot easier to work on a full length track.

Sounds great,Mb. Just listened to it on my iPhone in the middle of the woods before sunrise.

You guys put so much work into your pieces that it really challenges and pushes me to put more into mine. Although it's hard since we just adopted a baby!

Did all of the sounds come from noise.io? I just downloaded it and haven't had time to figure out how to export samples yet but I'm excited to delve into that. I agree about the new beatmaker features - they add a lot. The piece that I'm currently working on relies heavily on the pitch editor to create chords and melodies.

Yes all the sounds are from noise.io, it doesn't export yet so I just recorded from the headphone port.

How do you record from the headphone jack? Somehow direct to BeatMaker, or to another program? Can you use some kind of standard cable or do you need something special?

A great feature for BeatMaker to add would be the ability to pull samples directly from MP3s in the iPod.

Just an ordinary audio cable(stereo) into a line in, if you have one on your computer, otherwise an audio interface. Then some sofware to record.
