Beats! Beats! Beats!

edited March 2009 in General
Anyone got any beats to share yet? I didn't see another thread for it yet, so here it is...

Also down to share sample kits. I've put together a couple today from vinyl as well as some drum kits I sampled off a yamaha groove box... so PM me if you want something. Peace!

Alright beatmakers... I made this beat last night. Aside from 2 drum kits that I sampled from a Yamaha RM1x, all the other chops are from vinyl. Please give it a listen and let me know what you think!

(links for kits on the way shortly...)

    EDIT:
These were both out of the Yamaha... then resampled as mono with some lofi distortion added from a Roland SP...
    lofi dandb drums mono.bmkz - 1.37MB
    lofi hip hop drums mono.bmkz - 0.98MB

And these came from vinyl and then were tweaked a bit...
    ethnic percussion kit1.bmkz - 1.76MB

    Hopefully somebody finds em useful.

how do you use 3 different kits in one song?
  • edited 10:04AM
program your drums using whatever kit you want... then export it as a loop (one sample). now you can load it on a single pad.

Hey Count... I really like your track! Makes me realise I've got a lot of learning to do!!

I was just about to put my Technics on eBay, but I might just sell one of them now, so I can rip samples off my record collection to use with this

    Count -

Your beats are insane! Great webpage too. I will be using it a lot while learning to use Beatmaker.

How often do you update your page with new tunes?

Thanks for the shout out tavrick... I really appreciate that.

It's been a while since I've updated the site content, however I have a couple projects in the works that should be dropping soon, as well as some new combo kits I've been working on. I'm thinking about doing a pre-release on the kits to get some feedback on em before posting to the site for general sharing... so if you want to get the pre-release downloads, and haven't already done so, I'd urge you to sign up for the mailing list. I'm also going to be sending out a free download link to a compilation project that I contributed to that should be wrapping up early next week, and it promises to be a burner... so stay tuned. Once again, thanks for the support!
