Quickly add a TON of kits.
Hello everyone,
I decided to share my way of quickly adding 111 kits to your beatmaker!
I must advise that you will need a jailbroken iphone / ipod touch. (And I do not encourage you to jailbreak your device!)
But ... if you already did...
My setup:
iPod touch 1st gen 16gb.
firmware: 2.2.1 jailbroken with quickpwn, I only installed cydia.
openssh +vsftpd. (ssh and ftp servers) avail through cydia.
Download the works .. as usual + vsftpd in cydia
(thats a filesystem wide ftp server (faster than ssh your files!!!))
(for vsftpd to work, you will first need to create a folder called "empty" in: /usr/share. (mkdir /usr/share/empty) )
then login with your usernames / passwords (root:alpine if you didnt change the password! (passwd (enter) then change it .. then su root (alpine) and passwd again and change that root passwords too!!)
then on your pc . open the ftp client of your choice (I use filezilla ftp client)
(to your iphone's ipaddress on port 21 logging normal ftp user: root pass: your root pass or alpine (default))
go in: /private/var/mobile/Applications/623BCA2D-6C1B-4360-87BD-81DDD85C80D3/Documents/BeatPack Content
(623BCA2D-6C1B-4360-87BD-81DDD85C80D3 may vary, but it's the folder in wich you will see your BeatMaker.app folder)
from your pc: open firefox. install getthemall (file downloader addon for firefox)
go to : <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.ibeatmaker.com/bmk/display.php">http://www.ibeatmaker.com/bmk/display.php</a><!-- m --> *great ressource* !!!
use gethemall (bottom section) filter: *.bmkz
and set the download path.. (197 mb total)
then I used 7zip to unzip all the bmkz (select extract here, all bmkz files will create a sub folder!)
then copy all these folders (drag & drop your selection) right into the right window in your ftp client !)
(in: /private/var/mobile/Applications/623BCA2D-6C1B-4360-87BD-81DDD85C80D3/Documents/BeatPack Content ) ..
(put all the folders containing the wavs and the bmk files. )
then when the upload is done,
open beatmaker
click load

BeatPack Content and "tada!!" .. full of kits for you to play with.
ps: There is one daft punk kit... (Daft Punk Remix Justice.bmkz) that did not unzip successfully..)
