Booch138 - Midnight (Techno/Industrial/Ambient Blastbeats)

edited April 2009 in BeatMakers Showcase
Hey guys,

This is my first song. Be as harsh as you'd like, constructive criticism is always appriciated. All I ask is that you let me know what you thought

This is my first shared track, though its not the first song I have ever done on Beatmaker. I plan on doing lots of work and revisions, as well possibly making the song itself a little more lengthier. This was all done entirely on Beatmaker, though when I redo it and add some more stuff, I will most likely use the assistance of M-Audio's Sessions, but that is sometime else down the road. Enjoy.

Man I really like some of the things you did in there. The soft piano goes really well with the ambience. I like the stop transition in the middle; works well.

If I were to offer any criticism, I would say that beat doesn't go to well with everything else that is happening. I can respect what your trying to do there, the fast ragged beat contrasting with the easy foreground tones. I think that part needs a lot of work though.

Thanks you for the comment and insight! The part that bugs me, is indeed the end. I just kind of threw it together for the sake of a rediculous ending so I could upload it on here (I was that exicted >.<). It needs lots of work though, that is for sure. Bass parts need to be adjusted, some minor EQ's need to be adjusted, etc. All major polish issues in other words.

If you could imagine, I was in a good mood writing this, and I had a lot of energy. So I wanted the song to reflect that. Tis a start indeed!

My next song will be uploaded shortly. I have to get it on my laptop at home (at work at the moment). That one is more industrial/Trip-Hop so its a huge leap of difference from this track.
