Cruise or Land-Based Tours in the Galapagos?

Hey folks, quick question! I’m trying to decide between a cruise or a land-based tour for the Galapagos. I’ve heard pros and cons for both, but I’m leaning toward a cruise since it seems more immersive. Any recommendations for a cruise that doesn’t feel too crowded or rushed?

  • I was in the same boat (pun intended) when I planned my Galapagos trip. After a lot of research, I chose the Galapagos Cruise Tour, and it was honestly the best decision. The ship is small enough to feel intimate but still spacious enough for comfort.

What I loved most is that a cruise lets you wake up at a new island every day without wasting time traveling back and forth. The Seaman Journey team plans activities like snorkeling, hiking, and wildlife viewing, with expert guides leading the way. You’ll see iconic animals like marine iguanas and frigatebirds while learning so much about the ecosystem."

I’ve been debating the cruise vs. land tour thing too. Cruises sound amazing, but I’ve had some mixed experiences with ferry-style travel in the past. When I was dealing with bc ferries reservations, I ran into a few hiccups that I wish I’d known about ahead of time. Reading what others went through helped me set better expectations. So whatever route you choose, definitely worth checking reviews before booking anything—especially when you're stuck at sea!
