Looper style recording interface

I would like to be able to record to a pad multiple layers without having to have the pop-up window come up. Something like a looper pedal... where you can set up a number of options for how the recording works and to automatically trigger and loop the sample once recording is finished.

Comments

  • The pop up is ok but it should just disappear after the recording starts.
  • Looper style recording would be ideal.

Definitely a good idea, the recorder could be "minimized", to access the pads, keyboard, etc.
Having the glowing record button somewhere on the left global toolbar, maybe?

I already requested midilearn for Recorder window functions to make Record -Sync mode controllable with footpedal & more looper -like , & in a thread about ReSampling mentioned how we need to access many functions under the Recorder window , not just playing pads & keyboard but also realtime editing parameters whilst recording .
So hooe these improvements will be added .

  • @mathieugarcia Or, if there's space for it, an icon near the transport controls? You could minimise the pop up, its icon would appear beside the transport, pressing this icon again reintroduces the pop up?
