BUG/REQUEST?: Transport step back/forward MIDI stop behavior

If I touch the sequencer's timeline bar it remembers the stop behavior in settings when I press stop. I see the white transport bar when selecting a sequencer location. If I use the focus action for transport step forward/step backward, I can also see the transport bar moving, but stop behavior isn't implemented with this method of movement. My question is this a bug or request and could this be fixed to function equally?
