THANK YOU.

Good Lord this is a great *great* application. I have been wishing for something like this in my pocket for a long time, and never found a practical solution. I have alot of downtime at work, but need to be up and running quickly when the phone rings or somebody walks in, and Beatmaker is my solution. I am actually turning these dull moments into something actually productive, and for that, I am so thankful. Best 20 bux I have spent in a long long time, and I, for one, will happily give you more of my money if Intua keeps this up.

    Cosign all that stuff. This app is great. I wonder what the first competition to pop up will be. They did a real good job being the first ones, I bet that's why the cost point is so low... so they can build up a loyal user base to weather the pending comp.

    Either that, or they know we're going to have to buy new ipods/iphones in order to run the next version of the software. <!-- s8-) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif" alt="8-)" title="Cool" /><!-- s8-) -->

    Wow. I played with BeatMaker for 20 minutes, tried the uploading/downloading and immediately set my iPhone down, grabbed my wallet and rushed out to get the new Sennheiser headphones I have put off getting for the last 2 weeks. As a musician for some time (electronica) I am in heaven with BeatMaker on my iPhone. Portable music creation has been a dream for some time for me, and now at last it's here!

    I actually haven't even tried to load up my own sounds yet, and I am already having a blast with this. I plan tonight on getting the Beatpack deal up and running and seeing if can get some guitar samples into some kits... I play alot of nylon string guitar, and I am hoping I can do some interesting and melodic layering and looping. Anybody else notice how good the sound quality is? I have been impressed. Now if I could just pan the sounds to my liking in the stereo field, I will die happy <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

    yes! panning control on individual samples would be huge! automating the pan along the timeline would be bigger than huge! in fact... automating anything along the timeline would be really cool. <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

    ...and I have to say - kudos to Apple for the platform. I've been using the absolute hell out of this 4 GB phone since the beginning, and it absolutely *blows away* the competition and I've owned alot of 'em. A customer saw me using mine today as I was working out a sequence and said "I don't see what the big deal is... it's just a *PHONE*"

    I just shook my head without a reply...
