Playing External MIDI Instruments from Beatmaker
If a pad has no sample or plug-in assigned, the pad MIDI Setup is greyed out. The pad will only transmit a single note value, so Keys mode doesn't work. I want to sequence external MIDI kit, but it looks like to do that I'd have to load a dummy sample in. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

This has always been like this, yes just load your dummy sample and it will work fine
