using midi fx with external gear

is there a way to use midi fx like the rozetta suite with an external synth... for example, i am using 1 pad of a bank in keyboard mode to control an external synth....that works great, if i use a midi fx, like particles, for instance, it is randomly sending triggers to the different pads as opposed to different midi notes within the pad i have selected... is there a way to route my midi fx so it will just apply to the 1 pad/instrument? thanks

I believe the only way to do this is with a hack.
Place Midi Route from this bundle after Rozeta, set the appropriate Midi Output port and channel.
