Why does autopan take over 300 MB of the iPad's RAM?

edited October 2012 in General
What kind of voodoo is autopan doing to consume nearly 300 times more memory than all the other effects combined in a project?

    Prolly a memory leak (requests memory from the system, but forgets to hand it back when done)

    Although it is easier to use, i dislike autopan as what it does is not quite predictable, which depending on what you put it on, will cause mix issues...

    If you go into automation you can automate the pan, which will yield better results...even though i find its a combination of volume, pan position, speed, and reverb that creates better depth.

    Thanks for posting this! I was wondering why my template was 1.6gb!! I was getting around 500mb per instance of the autopan <!-- s:? --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_confused.gif" alt=":?" title="Confused" /><!-- s:? -->
